Colaborative Partnership

What is the opportunity?

Erasmus+ provides the opportunity for organisations to develop, transfer and implement innovative practices in the field of sport between organisations, authorities and others.

Collaborative Partnerships are designed to promote the creation and development of European networks in the field of sport, and can include a variety of activities, such as:

  • networking among key stakeholders;
  • development, identification, promotion and exchange of best practices;
  • preparation, development, and implementation of education and training modules and tools;
  • increasing the skills of multipliers in the field of sport;
  • developing monitoring and benchmarking of indicators in the field of sport;
  • raising awareness of the added value of sport and physical activity;
  • promoting synergies between sport, health, education, training, and youth;
  • improving the evidence-base for sport;
  • organising conferences, seminars, events and meetings.

How does it work?

Organisations intending to apply must do so as part of a consortium, led by an eligible organisation from aPro-gramme Country. Organisations eligible to take part include non-profit organisations and public bodies active in the field of sport.

There are two rounds of selection for Collaborative Partnerships per year:

  • activities or initiatives that take place during the European Week of Sport or have a thematic link to it
  • activities that do not have a link to the European Week of Sport

A Collaborative Partnership should include at least five different organisations from five different Programme Countries, although organisations from Partner Countries can also participate as partners.

Activities must take place in the Programme Countries of the organisations involved.

What else should you know?

Collaborative Partnerships for the first selection round can last 18 months at most, whereas applications for the second round can last from 12 to 36 months.

Projects must be 12, 18, 24, 30 or 36 months in length; the duration must be specified at application stage based on the objective of the project and the type of activities foreseen.
